Shopping/Activities
Most hotels have some shopping, if only a convenience store. Porto Cupecoy has several shops and restaurants. The Blue Mall closed before Irma and needs some repairs on the condos above the retail space. La Samanna has become Belmond with some high end boutiques. Unfortunately, the complex was damaged by Hurricane Irma. At one point they were attempting to lay off most of the staff and figure out what to do. The website says they are open but I can't find a menu for any of the restaurants.
Dany and the boys provide chairs, umbrellas, drinks, and BBQ on the northern end of Cupecoy Beach, but generally this is a laid back section of the island with no jet skis, parasailing, swimsuits, etc.
